September 23rd
Purpose: I have room for 2-3 friends.

I emailed this earlier you can PM me if you have any questions

Why do I do it? There is one special friend I have met in the past year. He is one of the kindest folks I have met. I look forward to meeting him in person.  Helping someone like this makes it all worthwhile. His wife sounds like sharp person. It’s been a great experience for me. Helping out can really make a difference in life.

Difficult time or Hard Luck time. It won’t be right away, but I’ll set it up som there won’t be any charge for a few folks. If I can confirm that a couple folks really need to make money – and have had a temporary hard time in life (medical bills have overwhelmed their monetary situation) – then I’ll help these people.

They won’t be charged and I am confident their income will change with the below commentary. If my goals at FolioFN.com – and the 4th team mate besides Alex and Jason – change, then I will always add more free memberships. Most all of us have had a tough time in life at some point. If Alex, Jason and the team can change a person’s life, then I am 100% in favor of it.

I plan on, for example, taking some of Jason’s profitable option trades and moving it over to FolioFN.com. The profits from this would go to charities and individuals.

Sincerely,

Todd

Good evening,

I wrote this last night. It will be in the forum if anyone has questions. There will be 4-key persons. Alex will be the report creator. Jason will be asked to do what he highlighted he can do. Jason has performed exceptionally. I will help anyone learn how to do it. It is quite simple. If you have any trades, strategies in mind – I’ll buy the proper books so you can learn.

A) Who it Works with vs. Doesn’t Work
I want long-term friends in this. That also means you should expect excellent returns. If you choose to ignore my ideas and buy $EMES, $SDRL type names – then that isn’t fair to the actual returns you might have earned. Names such as $PANW as an example have performed beyond expectations. We won’t buy names based upon “hope”, “Cramer”, or “penny stocks”.

B) Todd & Family Portfolio: I have Room for 2-3 Individuals
I received 2 questions, from friends and family, regarding the Family & Friends Entertainment Portfolio one-on-one email. I want to address those 2-questions so it is clear. Every portfolio will be unique built upon your goals. If you want to focus upon dividends, then that is exactly what the primary goal will be.

C) ****************Disclaimer*****************:
I am not a broker. There are zero guarantees. It is intended for my family. I do this for a few friends I have met on Dividend Lab and the old Yorba radio show. You place the trades and choose what trades you like. We talk on the phone. Please read the full disclaimer on all the emails that are sent out.

Portfolio Summary:
One should view the portfolio design as conservative in nature.

I will make this brief. The below content has specific info. I believe you will be very pleased with the returns; appreciate the hedging benefits if stocks go down; and appreciate the long-term goals in place and to be implemented.

I am intentionally starting the portfolio with an approximate 10% annual dividend goal in mind.

Here are a few unique attributes besides owning common equities:

****If you want unique Jason option trades, then I will work with him to ensure you receive beneficial (read: profitable or high ROI) trades. See #3 below.

*****A monthly portfolio report will be designed for monthly portfolio review. I will ask Alex to create this report.

******I will work closely with Jason and Alex.

*******I discuss, assess, and decide upon certain strategies. A 4th person will assist in selecting arbitrage trades; assist in selecting CEF’s trading at a wide NAV discount; and assist in selecting net-net stocks (including Japan) for buyouts.

——————————————
1) Take advantage of warrants; rights’ offerings; special dividend payouts;

2) Take advantage of spinoffs;

3) For those who so desire, I will work with Jason so you have unique option trades to enhance overall portfolio returns. His returns are available to see. He is very good.

4) I have specific plans for purchasing CEF’s with a wide discount; net-net stocks (e.g., Japan included); and arbitrage trades. This in some circumstances will be hedged via short CEF’s trading at a premium.

5) Quant screens used at FolioFN.com. I will have a unique Todd Quant Screen portfolio built for income and capital gains. This is built for the long-term. I would suggest a 5% position in this screen.

6) Hedging for a down market.

7) Strategies to pay for the hedging.

8) A focus upon total returns.

9) Hedging securities, or hedging equal weight ETF’s, or hedging any security that will reduce the net long portfolio position.

——————————————

Long Term Incentive – I have 3rd Party Relationships with these Goals:
I have specific goals associated with FolioFN.com. These goals should benefit the friends and my family.

We will – thinking out loud – establish positions in specific CEF’s; specific positions in net-net stocks. These names will have a discount. Specific investors, friends, acquaintances will ideally share the same goal to buy undervalued securities. Decreasing the NAV discount on a CEF benefits us and could unlock value. The end result is a capital gain.

Jason’s Options and Various Return Enhancing Results
You can check the first page of dividend lab for results. Jason focuses upon options. I will work a strategy with Jason for unique trades – for the friends and family program. I believe Jason has returned 108% vs. the 15% SP500 return.

For those interested, I will ask Jason for unique trades specific to your investment style.

Monthly Report

I will work with Alex to create a specific report showing returns and an update on your specific holdings. This will require you to share your holdings with Alex and I. If you want this, it will be done. I’ll work together with you to ensure privacy yet is comprehensive to show performance.

For privacy reasons, I suggest we leave this blank. The only person who needs to know is “Todd”. I simply don’t want to overweight a specific stock or portfolio.

If you are ok with Alex knowing your holdings, he is discreet and professional. It will be beneficial for him to know. Alex and I have worked together for 4-years now. I trust him without a second thought.

Assume this is entertainment dollars – I say this as a disclaimer. Track the results each month. You should have the 8.5% – 10% annual dividend in place.

You can dollar cost average to see the results.

You should track month-to-month to see if it works for you. It will be conservative in nature. We will talk on the phone.

Your Feedback:

I need to know if you own Apple $AAPL if you want position(s) hedged. If your goals/strategy change, then we simply adjust. I can’t suggest a protective put on Apple if I don’t know you own Apple.

A) Expected Dividend Yield on Personal Portfolio for next year:

The annual yield should be 10% minimum for those seeking income. The difference will be deployment of money to net-net’s; arbitrage; spinoffs; and deep value securities.

Other strategies with this portfolio will be up to you. We obviously want income besides the dividend. This would be on any market condition right now.

I will, however, recommend VIX securities; portfolio protective puts; individual protective puts; selling call spreads for income – to offset the hedging expenses incurred. The total return is the focus.

Other securities open to recommendation will include:

a) rights offering;
b) warrants;
c) call spreads and debit spreads for income;
d) multiple quant screens at FolioFN.com.com – you can see the historical returns per quant screen. We can hedge the quant screens.
e) a Todd’s personal quant screen, to be used at FolioFN.com.com, built for long-term;
f) focus upon net-net stocks;
g) focus upon micro caps;
h) focus upon new IPO’s;
i) focus upon spinoffs;
j) focus upon arbitrage;
k) shorting stocks or sectors

B) Expected Dividend Yield on Personal Portfolio for next year:

The dividend yield, on cost, to begin, should be 8.5% – 9% minimum

Other strategies with this portfolio will be up to you. We obviously want income besides the dividend. This would be on any market condition right now.

For new positions, the yield may nor may not cause an option strategy to hedge the interest rate depending upon volatility.

One-on-One:
I talk with you. We discuss the specific questions you have. You can review after one month if it working. Zero portfolios are the same. I like $PANW and we have owned it for awhile.

Dividend Reinvestment:
Some dividends will be reinvested. Some dividends won’t be. It will be based upon your situation and my thought proces on a given stock or sector.

Todd Johnson Annual Portfolio Cost:
I would work with you on cost. It depends upon what you want the portfolio to do: income, growth, hedging, selling calls, etc. Some of thee trades – to track – can’t be put on finance.yahoo.com.
