Good morning. Markets were in an up and down mood this past week, unwilling to cede gains and itching to go higher. The S&P 500 index gained 1.7% in the week to close at 2,102.06. A weak jobs report and a $3 jump in oil prices sent markets higher on Monday, in anticipation of a pushback in interest rate increases by the Federal Reserve which was further reinforced by comments from William C. Dudley, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Bond prices rose as yields dropped. ...
